Jolly Ranchers Daycare was conceptualized in late 2017 during a discussion among a few young mothers on their personal experience utilizing childcare resources in their respective communities.
The shared frustrations around the accessibility and availability around childcare grew into a business idea among these ambitious working mothers.
Jolly Ranchers Daycare was developed as a result of the need to expand the childcare options in the growing township of Grand Valley.
The plan immediately evolved to create a daycare program that is child centred and closer to home.
Jolly Ranchers Daycare strives to provide a safe environment for children to play and learn.
Jolly Ranchers daycare is staffed with extraordinary childhood educator who recognize the trust families place in them to provide care for their children.

We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
We accept children from 0 months to 6 years old.
We follow Ministry of Education guidelines:
– 1:3 for infants
– 1:5 for toddlers
– 1:8 for preschoolers
Yes, educators are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) or hold equivalent qualifications. Our team is trained in First Aid, CPR, and participates in regular professional development.
We have a designated nap/rest period after lunch. We provide individual cots and encourage quiet rest while respecting each child’s sleep needs.
We follow public health guidelines. Children who are unwell must stay home until they’re symptom-free. If a child becomes ill during care, parents are contacted immediately. Staff are trained to handle medical situations and administer medications with written parental consent.
We provide morning snack, hot lunch, and afternoon snack daily.
Children enjoy a balance of:

Yes! Children enjoy two outdoor play sessions daily, weather permitting, in a safe, age-appropriate outdoor space.
Our programs are built around play-based learning and the “How Does Learning Happen?” Ontario pedagogy. We focus on hands-on activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and social development.
We use a daily written/verbal reports for infants and toddlers. Our educators are also available for in-person chats at drop-off and pick-up.
Our centre has secure entry doors, security cameras, and strict sign-in/out protocols to ensure every child’s safety.
